Kiev Metro - the oldest subway was opened November 6, 1960, and consisted of only five stations. Today Kiev subway - it's 52 stations and three lines with a total length of about 70 km. It provides reliable underground connection between the two parts of the capital of Ukraine, separated by a wide Dnieper.

According to experts, the underground capital of Kazakhstan is the most advanced in the CIS. Currently, its length is 8.5 km, and includes seven stations. Almaty underground route is constantly evolving: active construction of branches of the second stage, preparing for the commissioning of new plants.
